you already know my views on some of the Magnum photographers. The phrase 'prima donna' comes to mind. 'Two faced' is another. Temperamental and conceited are my usual thoughts about most including the recent paparazzi (non-Magnums included here) who are on my royal flat-screen in the evenings.Phrases that are distasteful but appropriate in many cases and apply to the 180 degrees turn in values by photographers who take on such accolades. I have the same distaste for organisations that purport to give acclaim and some sort of superiority to photographers who provide evidence of a certain standard. Letters seem to be added to a photographers name to indicate that we should know to what higher level they have attained. Mostly piffel. Do I have letters after my name to indicate my higher than thou superiority? I use my normal name 'Queen' with no frills and no graces. I sometimes like to be called 'Your Royal Highness' but do I ever publish my pictures or seek membership of Master Misogeners or The Royal Photogenic Sodsiety or the like to bore you all with my preferences? Of course not. Why can't you all be like me? I may be guilty of changing my german name but that was in the past. I believe that you can read something interesting in photographers and journalists who have changed their original names to further their profession... It's all toooo confusing and upsetting for me. Now all be quiet, I vont to watch one of my favourite 'Spitting Image' episodes. What's your favourite? I'd rather eat a Magnum than speak to one (apart from some of the originals including my mate Bresson).
publish your photos, you didn't stop that ralph harris painting your likeness.
Rolph was so hungrey for publicity and short of money he would have done anything. Anyway he was Australian - so he doesn't count.
Just like you bast-ard photographers.
