living statue neal street covent garden

Well yes the pressmen as digital paparazzi are continuing to look at performance in and around covent garden. It is interesting to see the reaction of people to living statues. The ones in neal street tend to just play for the quick photo. I know from personal experience that it is possible to move the performance into more of a show. In Paris many moons ago we used the stillness of being a statue to gather an audience and took that further by then improvising gags with whatever came to mind at the time. It was possible to create 10 to 20 minutes of interesting impro show.

It is useful to experience the power of stillness as a statue and the way people are drawn to look at what is going on. for corporate parties it works well to have a statue and a caretaker looking after the statue. All sorts of interaction can be created.
