The Pressmen as digital comic paparazzi visit RSVP exhibition

The pressmen visited RSVP today and saw cyberstein. An amazing walkabout act. RSVP was very colourful but I am not sure how effective it is as an exhibition.

Rob Ballard knife throwing Covent Garden

Rob Ballard has performed this show over the years in Covent Garden. I watched it for the first time recently and it is very funny. A theatrical, and comic take on the art of knife throwing. When I first saw Rob he was in a sword fighting comic duo with Eddy Izzard. Since then he has been successful as a playwright and international director. In the Uk his adaption of three men in a boat came out to much critical acclaim. He has directed many stage shows including operas. If you are in Covent Garden you will be amply rewarded to see his show as it is one of the best.

The Pressmen watch Nick and Alex at Covent Garden

Nick and Alex work together every now and again. They are excellent and it is well worth catching their act. I don't know much about Nick. Alex, however, is a truly versatile entertainer who has been in some of the most successful juggling troupes in Europe.

Here is one of the strictly come dancing stars at the move it dance festival in Olympia. It is a wonderful festival for young dancers to assess what dance options are open to them.

Living Statues in Covent Garden

It is interesting how people are captivated by living statues. Now living statues can be found all over the world. I wonder if Barcelona was the first to have this type of performance. Over the years I have seen people fascinated by both living statues and performers moving in slow motion.

Sexy Tango and wedding photography

Tango for the 21st century. The Pressmen as digital paparazzi have an excellent photojournalist style for weddings. And if you want to learn to do a sexy tango number for your wedding dance they can organize this too.

Interesting idea for wedding poster

Given there is a budget for producing a poster this is a nice idea. Creates a theme for the wedding. Their own idea of how they see their relationship. Would have been great to see how the wedding was planned and produced.

NOT our approach to Wedding Photography

This is what might be called the formal style of wedding photography. It is about the photo itself, the aethetic look. How can we create photos to make people look good, to pose them in beautiful surroundings etc.
Our approach is to tell the story of a wedding couples day. In order that they can remember al the feelings they shared on the day. To be able to share with others their special moment. To share in an interesting way that captures both the romantic and the quirky moments. A documentary of the day. For me that creation of a documentary is both creative and exciting. A great feeling to create a story for a couple that they will look at and share with others for years to come.

Focus Exhibition 2007

Tim and I went to Focus this year. I was suprised that Canon did not have a stand. I saw a leaf backed camera in action. It was pretty impressive. I have not yet used the services of Graphi Studios. Their wedding books looked very good. Interesting looking at all the stands, now I will have to look at all the brochures I picked up.
